Description: Assist guests checking in and checking out of Hotel with luggage handling and storage.
Explain to guests all the hotel services offered upon check- in. Review use of guest keys upon check in. Verify room is satisfactory and that guest is satisfied upon check in.Be prepared to answer all calls and questions about the city, directions, recommendations for sightseeing, dining etc. Bellmen will have information available (maps, guides) for guests. Bellmen will have first hand knowledge of the city, itís landmarks and directions to and from NY as well as within the city itself. Find a correct answer for all guest questions.
Run items to guest rooms when requested, such as linens, ice, pillows, blankets etc.
Arrange transportation and airport transfers if requested by the guest. Provide Doorman service where and when needed. Present professional polished image for the hotel. Maintain high standards of guest service and quality.Clean as porter parking lot lobby and public areas as assigned.Take rubbish containers to the street. Accept and facilitate linen deliveries and pick ups.
Assist in responsibilities as may be assigned by Management.
Requirements: Minimum of a High School Diploma, Excellent Communication skills, Bi or Multi Lingual helpful, Positive demeanor, outgoing personality and able to work well under pressure. Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts. Must be able to converse in English. Must be able to work independently. Able to be on your feet for long periods of time. Able to lift at least 50 pounds. Excellent people skills. Must meet grooming standards. Meet/exceed customer expectations. Drug test and background check required.
