Description: A non-profit organization that empowers people to break the cycles of homelessness, incarceration and welfare dependency through innovative work and housing programs. Our mission is to develop and implement cost-efficient, holistic programs that comprehensively meet the needs of a diverse homeless population.
Responsibilities include contacts employers by mail, phone, e-mail, and in person to develop appropriate job openings; prepares job orders. Conducts extensive outreach to employers and potential employers to market trainees, to increase pool of employers, increase job bank listing, and develop new job orders. Interact with program case managers and other job developers to refine understanding of applicants’ needs and identify targeted job development efforts. Conduct on site Job Prep Classes, Life Skills Class and Weekly Job Club meetings in an organized and structured way.
Maintains regular contact with employers to monitor employment satisfaction and to suggest accommodation of requirements for hard-to-fill positions.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree.
At least 3 years experience in related field. Strong communication, both oral and written. Strong presentation and networking skills.
