Description: Large non-profit economic development organization. Maintain and enhance a corporate network, support reactive system issues manage projects and implement critical network software applications.
Provide IT support to the entire organization, providing technical assistance to all staff. Supports users with technical advice and problem resolution. Responds to all user requests for service and determines and prioritizes, based on a written priority structure, the nature and extent of support needed. Refers out to IT Director support requests that are beyond the expertise of the position, based on a written referral procedure.
Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science of Information Systems or equivalent experience in the associated technology field.
Technically proficient and highly skilled in troubleshooting a large corporate network environment.
Solid understanding of Local Area Network hardware and software; Network topology, OS, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, and Network client servers Access.
Understanding and capable of troubleshooting Internet protocols, browsers and Wide Area Networking (WAN) technologies.
Learn new technologies quickly and independently utilizing; course work, on the job training, manuals, technical journals, calls to technical support.
Work independently to solve problems; analyze situation and identify cause(s) of problems, evaluate and present alternatives to management, know when to seek help and guidance to clarify requirements, derive and document requirements where none are present.
Communicate effectively and in a professional manner; ability to communicate and present ideas to team members and management at various technical levels.
Attention to detail and follow procedures; document thoroughly.
