Description: Non-profit social service organization working with former substance abusers. Provide case management and crisis intervention services to public assistance recipients in need of alcohol and/or substance abuse treatment. The Case Manager also assesses the client’s needs, develops individualized employability and rehabilitation plans, and coordinates services with treatment programs and community-based organizations. Site visits to coordinate client services is required.
Requirements: Required: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, or other related field, two+ years of social service experience, and previous case management experience.
Preferred: Knowledge of substance abuse treatment modalities and New York City’s alcohol and substance abuse treatment system, excellent clinical, verbal, written communication, problem solving and organizational skills, and bilingual (English-Spanish) language skills.
